-About Me & the Brand BaoBa-
"When you let go of who you are meant to be,
you can be whoever YOU want to be"

Deborah Lo Pumo
I was born in Brittany in France as the daughter of a furniture entrepreneur and am the eldest of four siblings. Taking on responsibility at an early age has shaped me into the businesswoman I am today. I have gained a wide range of experience in the business world, both nationally and internationally. As a qualified doctor assistant, I worked in non-profit organization administration, HR management, then worked for Alzheimer Association, founded a family olive oil business, managed the private home care organization Almisano and also ran a BnB in our family home.
After a break in Sicily with my daughters, during which I was able to live my values as a mother and housewife in greater depth, I renovated our property in Switzerland for seven years and strengthened my passion for interior design. Even as a teenager, I enjoyed creating order and systems in my rooms. Today, after deciding to take a break from my career due to family challenges, I have learned to come to terms with myself through tidying up, to redefine myself and thus to have a positive influence on my environment.
This passion led to the founding of BaoBa - Back to Basics. I enjoy helping others to optimize their lives and gain more time for what is important. I would like to pass on these insights through my own experiences, because it is important to recognize the essentials in life and to consciously enjoy them.

BaoBa
The meaning of my brand
My father and I chose the name BaoBa, www.baoba.com, as our brand over 10 years ago because it comes from the baobab tree, also known as the tree of life.
It is an icon of nature, native to the savannas of Africa, dating back over 200 million years.
The baobab symbolizes life, positivity and resilience, it signals a time to return to wholeness and simplicity in which we can rest, regenerate and celebrate. Its fruit is now considered a superfood.
